South Staffordshire Council wins 2016 Federation of Small Businesses Local Authority Awards
Not one, but two awards for South Staffordshire Council at the 2016 Federation of Small Businesses Local Authority Awards, covering Staffordshire and West Midlands regions.
Just over a year in and South Staffordshire’s Business Hub has grown from strength to strength helping local business grow from its base at South Staffordshire Council in Codsall. Up against the whole of Staffordshire and West Midlands Local Authroities, the team scooped awards in two categories.
Both the Business Hub and Small Business Saturday campaign won the Best Business Friendly Programme Award. In addition, the Good Life Deals App won the award for collaborative working in partnership with Cannock Chase District Council.
Over 98% of South Staffordshire’s businesses are small and medium sized enterprises. Small Business Saturday, run by the Regeneration team, is a great example of how the Council is helping small businesses and encouraging people to shop local. This year the team will be doing it all again on Saturday 3rd December.
Imre Tolgyesi, Business Hub Lead “South Staffordshire has some great businesses; it’s a real pleasure working with, connecting and supporting so many local businesses. Both of the awards mean a lot to the team who have worked tremendously hard over the last fifteen months creating the new Business Hub. A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone involved”
